A chalet on the hillside, where time goes by slowly.

A wood-and-glass retreat in Mundo Novo, Armazém, where the quiet of the countryside meets the comfort of home. Wake up to the mountains in the window, slow down in the hot tub and end the day by the fireplace.

The chalet

Here the day is measured by the light.

An A-frame chalet of wood and glass, set on the hillside. In the morning, mist rises slowly from the forest; in the afternoon, the sun says goodbye behind the mountains; at night, the gable lights up and the whole valley falls silent.

Inside, everything invites you to stay: high ceilings, light curtains, a stone fireplace, a hot tub with a window onto the fields and a table by the glass for an unhurried breakfast.

The spaces

Living room with a sofa, stone fireplace and a glass wall facing the mountains

The living room

An A-frame ceiling, the wagon-wheel chandelier and the stone fireplace warming the cold nights. The whole glass wall lets the mountains into the room.

Hot tub with two wide windows onto the lawn and the forest

The hot tub

Warm water, windows open to the green and no hurry at all. The right way to end the day, watching the fields change colour.

The table by the glass

Breakfast with the open valley ahead. Late in the afternoon, the same table becomes the best seat to watch the sun set among the eucalyptus trees.

Wooden deck with a railing, the green valley with eucalyptus trees and the mountains behind

The deck

Wood underfoot, the pasture running down to the valley and the mountains on the horizon. The place for the first coffee and the last conversation of the night.

From dusk to night

Late afternoon

The sun says goodbye behind the mountains and the whole valley turns golden.

Blue hour

The sky darkens slowly and the lights along the eaves come on one by one.

Night

Inside, the warmth of the fireplace. Outside, only the quiet of the countryside.
